Support Sail Network

Sail Network is a regional youth sailing initiative that exists to keep young people connected to the sport they love — across clubs, classes, and communities.

We believe that sailing is more than just racing — it’s a place to grow, belong, and stay engaged for life. But staying in the sport isn’t always easy. Costs, access, and life changes can all become barriers.

That’s where your support makes a difference.

Why Support Matters

Your support helps us:

  • Reduce participation costs for families through subsidised training days

  • Supply shared coaching and safety equipment

  • Offer coach mentoring to young instructors from regional clubs

  • Provide regatta support so young sailors can experience major events

  • Build a social ecosystem to help keep young people in the sport long-term

Ways You Can Help

Make a Donation

We accept tax-deductible donations via the Australian Sports Foundation — every dollar goes directly toward program delivery and reducing barriers to participation.

Become a Sponsor

Interested in aligning your business with community, inclusion, and youth sport? We’d love to chat about sponsorship opportunities that fit your brand and our values.

Volunteer Your Time

We’re always looking for support with:

  • BBQ and hospitality

  • On-site logistics

  • Media and content creation

  • Safety and coaching support (accredited volunteers)

Offer Equipment or Resources

Have old boats, spare gear, or services that could help? Let us know — we’re building a shared kit for future training sessions.

Our Mission

Sail Network exists to connect and empower young sailors across the Hunter region. Our mission is to foster a vibrant youth sailing community by creating regular opportunities for skill development, social connection, and shared experience. Through monthly training days and club collaboration, we help sailors grow their confidence, expand their peer network, and stay engaged in the sport.

We believe that when young sailors feel supported and connected, they’re more likely to thrive — on and off the water.
